Learning Commons at the CBE
Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.
School Literary Materials Selection
Related to Ministerial Order (#034/2025), Standards for the Selection, Availability, and Access of School Library Materials, CBE has published an administrative regulation AR3051: School Literary Materials Selection. Families and community members can request a review or reconsideration of a literary resource in a school's learning commons by completing the School Library Materials Reconsideration Challenge Request through their local school.
CBE also has an eLibrary online tool available to families, students and staff, which is an online catalogue for all CBE school libraries with detailed information on books, DVD’s and other resources that are available to borrow.
Additionally, parents and legal guardians are welcome to review classroom library collections by contacting your child's school.
Our Learning Commons
The Bridlewood Library Learning Commons is a special space that offers students a great selection of books and the opportunity to learn and grow through reading.
Students are encouraged to use our Learning commons for school projects and independent reading material. Any lost or damaged books are the responsibility of the student to replace. If your child takes books home from our library please encourage him or her to be responsible for the care of them and for returning them on time.

Q) How long may I borrow a book?
A) The lending period is two weeks.
Q) What books may I take home from the Learning Commons?
A)You can choose from a wide variety of Fiction (story books) and Non-Fiction (information books). Non-fiction books are also available in classroom carts.
Q) What happens if I lose/damage a book?
A) Please contact Ms Grant in the LLC.
Q) How can I help protect my Library books?
A) Storing them in a plastic bag inside your backpack will prevent tears and spills.
