Honouring Truth and Reconciliation This September
Truth and Reconciliation remains a key priority for the Calgary Board of Education and an important commitment within the current Education Plan. As we continue to advance the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, we recognize the importance of ongoing learning, meaningful action, and building respectful relationships with one another and our communities.
CBE acknowledges Truth and Reconciliation Week each year in alignment with the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation. Truth and Reconciliation Week invites CBE staff, students and families to engage in meaningful learning, reflection and action.
Orange Shirt Day and Assembly
Tuesday, September 29 – Bridlewood students, staff and visitors are invited to wear shades of orange as we recognize Orange Shirt Day and prepare to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Our Grade 2 learning community will host an assembly from 10:00–10:30 a.m. Family members are welcome to join us as we learn, reflect and consider our shared responsibility for reconciliaction.

Staffing Update
We are pleased to welcome Melanie Guenther to our teaching team. Melanie will be teaching in our music program, while Ms. Fatica continues teaching in Grade 6.
Free Online Well-Being Sessions for Families and Caregivers
Parents and guardians are invited to join a live online series focused on supporting child and youth well-being. Hosted by the Recovery Alberta Community Education Service (CES) Program in collaboration with experts from the Calgary community, these sessions are designed to provide families with knowledge, tools and strategies to navigate the challenges and opportunities of raising children and teens today.
October 6 & 8 - Part 1 and 2 - Unmasking ADHD in Girls. Other upcoming topics include School Avoidance, Vaping, and Raising Healthy Humans in a Digital World.
