Early starts and long mornings can be challenging for students.

Please do your best to ensure your child eats breakfast at home before coming to school. A nutritious breakfast helps students stay focused, regulated, and ready to learn throughout the morning.  If breakfast at home is a challenge on a given day, please ensure your child comes to school with a healthy snack in addition to their lunch. Bridlewood does provide a limited supply of emergency snacks for students who are in occasional need.

Thank you for your continued support in helping students start their day feeling their best.

I Spy Kindness

Our Grade 5 community is excited to host a month-long initiative called “Eye Spy Kindness,” where students and staff intentionally notice, name, and celebrate acts of kindness throughout our school.

This initiative will culminate in a Pink Shirt Assembly, hosted by our Grade 5 students, taking place in the afternoon, on Thursday, February 26. As always, parents, guardians, and other significant adults are warmly invited to join us.

Thank you for supporting our school community as we continue to promote kindness, belonging, and respect.

TELUS Be Brave #EndBullying Hockey Game 2026

On February 24, Bridlewood students in Grades 4–6 will have the very exciting opportunity to attend the TELUS Be Brave#EndBullying Hockey Game at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Parents and guardians of students in Grades 4–6 are asked to please watch for additional information coming from classroom teachers later this week. A sincere thank you to the amazing Bridlewood School Council and Fundraising Society for their generous financial support in making this opportunity possible for our students.

Read-a-thon Information

Information about the Bridlewood School Student Read-a-thon was sent home last week. We encourage families to support students in participating in this event, which serves both as an important fundraiser for our school and a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading for pleasure. The Read-a-thon runs from February 1–21.

Thank you to the volunteer parents who are organizing and running this program, and to our students and families who are taking part. Your support is greatly appreciated!
