School Conferences in November

School Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 23 (Grades K to 6 evening; Kindergarten (during the day) and Friday, November 24 (Grades K to 6) morning. Sign up for conferences will take place beginning Wednesday, November 15. Parents will be able to sign up for conferences through their MyCBE portal.

Please plan to sign up for Parent-Teacher-Student conferences. This is an important time for parents, teachers and students to discuss student learning and next steps.

Trickster Theater Residency

We are very excited to have Trickster Theater coming to Bridlewood School on Dec. 11 to 15. During this residency, classes will be working with artists. Shows are developed based on an improvisation process to develop movement and dialogue. In order for this residency to be a success we will be asking for parent volunteers during this week. Please look for an email with a Sign Up Genius coming soon.

School Travel Planning-Active and Safe Schools

Bridlewood School is partnering with Ever Active Schools: School Travel Planning this year. The purpose of this partnership is to identify ways to promote more students walking and cycling to school and to identify barriers that prevent families from doing so. Ever Active Schools will have a short residency at our school after the November break. They will be working with the grade six teachers and classes to initiate this work through observation and data collection. Stay tuned for more updates.

School Council and Fundraising Society

Bridlewood School Fundraising Society (BSFS) invites you to join in the family winter event, PJ’s & Board Games!

Put on your Pajamas, bring your favourite board game and join us at Bridlewood School on Thursday December 7 from 6-8pm. There will be hot chocolate, crafts, and a photo booth!

Tickets are $2 per person (parents/guardians are required to be in attendance with children) and must be purchased through your account with Healthy Hunger under Special Event (https://healthyhunger.ca/)

Tickets will be limited as all schools have capacity limits for fire and safety regulations. The deadline for ticket sales will be December 1 or once capacity is reached.

Volunteers are always important to run an event like this. Please go to our Signup Genius link to see where you can help! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084DA8A822ABFBCE9-46237825-pjs
