Sign up for conferences will take place beginning Wednesday, November 15. Parents will be able to sign up for conferences through their MyCBE portal.

Please plan to sign up for Parent-Teacher-Student conferences. This is an important time for parents, teachers and students to discuss student learning and next steps.

Remembrance Day Assembly

Bridlewood School’s Remembrance Day assembly will be on Wednesday, November 8 in the school gymnasium. The assembly will begin at 10:30 a.m. Families are invited to attend.

Thank you to the grade 6 teachers and students, as well as Mrs. Fatica, our music specialist, for organizing and preparing for our assembly.

System Indigenous Education Professional Learning Day

Families are reminded that Thursday, November 9 is CBE’s Indigenous Education Professional Learning Day for staff. There will be no school for students on this day.

Fall Break- November 10 to 14

Fall Break is November 10 to November 14. There is no school for students or staff during this time. Classes will resume on Wednesday, November 15.

More Than A Ticket - Opportunity for Students and Families to Attend Events

Kids Up Front offers Calgary students and their families various opportunities to attend sports games, concerts and other events through the More Than A Ticket program. This program supports students and families, who may not have access to ticketed events, enjoy exciting concerts, performances and sports games throughout the year.

Families can access the list of KUF agency partners who distribute tickets. Each agency partner has a designated “ticket contact", who is responsible for the distribution of tickets.

Pedestrian, Traffic and Parking Lot Safety

We continue to observe the following unsafe practices:

  • jaywalking across Bridleridge Way during high-traffic times at the beginning and end of school
  • vehicles driving through the pedestrian crosswalk when there are pedestrians crossing
  • families driving into the staff parking lot when dropping off or picking up their students

Please choose safety over convenience when you are bringing your children to and from school.

School Council and Fundraising Society

Bridlewood School Fundraising Society is proudly hosting a Read-a-thon from November 6 to November 24! So what does that mean for you and your child(ren)? It is a time to raise money simply by reading. Ask people to pledge your child(ren) and then begin to log daily reading. A pledge sheet and log sheet on one paper was sent home this week with your child(ren). All students who return a pledge form will receive a prize but don’t forget about the class prize - a class pizza party! Please take a moment to look through the rules and details so you’re prepared for Monday. Happy reading!
