Dear Bridlewood Families,

It’s been a wonderful two days back at school. Staff and students have been spending time connecting and re-connecting. We are looking forward to our year of learning together. Here’s some information for you as we head into the Labor Day long weekend.

Meet the Teacher/Open House

We are very pleased to welcome families to our Meet the Teacher/Open House on Thursday, September 21, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Please plan to drop in between these times to meet your child’s teacher and see their classroom and our school.

Picture Day is Coming

Lifetouch Photography will be at our school on Thursday, September 28 to take students’ individual pictures.

Student Code of Conduct

The Calgary Board of Education has a Student Code of Conduct. Teachers will be reviewing the expectations in the code of conduct with their students throughout the next few weeks.

Safety at School

Student safety is always a priority for Bridlewood School. School start and end times can make the roads very congested. To keep your children safe, it is vital that everyone obeys the law as defined in Alberta’s Traffic Safety Act. Please choose safety over convenience by remembering to use crosswalks and yielding to pedestrians in the crosswalks.

Staff parking lot: Families are reminded that picking up and dropping off their students from the staff parking lot is unsafe. Please refrain from this unsafe practice at drop off and pick up times.

Safety drills:   Each year, schools practice safety procedures such as fire drills and lockdowns.

Dogs on School Property

We would like to remind our community that there is a City of Calgary bylaw that prohibits dogs on school property. If you are walking your furry friend to and from school please be sure to stay on the city sidewalks.  Thank you!
