Hello Bridlewood Parents and Guardians,

As we head into our final week of teaching and learning before the winter break, we have several fun and engaging activities planned to make these last few days both meaningful and memorable for our students.

Monday – Cozy, Comfy Day

  • Wear cozy clothes or pajamas to kick off the week in comfort!

Tuesday – Silly Style Day

  • Show off fun hair, silly headwear, or something wacky—let creativity shine!

Wednesday – Festive Colours Day

  • Wear festive colours like red, green, or blue and white (in recognition of Hanukkah), or any colour that feels festive to you.
  • Healthy Hunger Snack

Thursday – Guess the Teacher Challenge

  • Try to guess the teacher from a baby photo or a riddle—lots of laughs ahead!

Friday – Buddy Day (Kinder PM attends)

  • Students will connect with their Buddy classes for community-building activities.

Staff Updates

  • Retirement – Linda Henderson: Our amazing Facility Assistant Linda is retiring from her position at Bridlewood School. This will be Linda's last week with us.
  • Farewell – Rahema Khan: Rahema will be leaving her E-Secretary position at Bridlewood on December 19. She is heading for a new adventure at O.S. Geiger School.
  • Leave – Olga Savenkova: Olga (Ms. Olga Lunchroom Supervisor) is on leave for the remainder of the school year, taking time to be with her family.

We are grateful to all of these staff members for their care and dedication and wish them the very best.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration begins on January 12. If your child is going to be 5 years old by December 31, 2026, they are eligible to attend Kindergarten. Please visit the website at https://cbe.ab.ca/news-centre/Pages/Countdown-to-Kindergarten-Learning-Starts-Here.aspx to learn more.

Lost & Found

Our Lost & Found is growing quickly, especially with all the mitts and toques coming in! Parents, please remind your children to check for any missing items. You are also welcome to stop by and see if anything belongs to your child.

Any items left at the Winter Break will be donated, as we do not have long-term storage for them.

Helpful Tip: Please label your child’s belongings with their name. It makes it much easier to return lost items to their rightful owner.

Illness Reporting

If your child is experiencing a fever, cough, vomiting, or respiratory concerns, please keep them home until their symptoms have cleared for 24 hours.

From School Council - Please hold the date

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026 starting at 6:30PM

Wishing everyone a good and healthy week ahead,

Chris, Joanne and the team at Bridlewood School
