Dear BWS families,
Here are your updates for the week. Please remember that the time change is this weekend and we will all be ‘springing forward.’
Upcoming: Student-Led Conferences
Student-led conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 21 (Grades 1 to 6 in the evening; K during the day and in the evening) and Friday, March 22. Student-led conferences are an opportunity for students to share and celebrate their learning and next steps with their parents and guardians. With March conferences, multiple families will have the option to book in the same time slot at 30 minute intervals. For families who have more than one student, please plan for at least 30 minutes per student per class. Families can begin to book their times for these conferences beginning on Friday, March 15 at 4pm.
Planning for 2024 - 2025
As we are beginning to plan for the next school year, we would like to know if you are planning to remain at Bridlewood School. Accurate enrolment data helps us to plan effectively. Please let us know as soon as possible if your child(ren) will NOT be attending Bridlewood School starting in August 2024 by emailing our office at Bridlewood@cbe.ab.ca.
Volunteering at CBE through School Engage
Parents and guardians are now able to register to volunteer online in the School Engage tab in their MyCBE account. Members of the community without a child in the system can also create a School Engage account to utilize this program (learn more about this in the right-hand panel on this page). Once volunteers have created an account they can request and receive their volunteer letter through the school which is required to obtain their police security clearance. There are no changes at this time to the ePIC application and payment process which is outlined on the CBE Volunteer InSite page and managed by the Calgary Police Service. Once volunteers have their police information check and vulnerable sector clearance document it can be uploaded and shared directly with the school through the SchoolEngage account. Our wonderful e-secretary Patty Knott has put together this guide for you to support this process.
