Hello Bridlewood Parents/Guardians,
Please read on for this week's updates!
Dates of Significance
June is an exciting month for Indigenous ways of being, belonging, doing, and knowing:
June 1-30: National Indigenous History Month in Canada
June 14-21: Indigenous Awareness Week in Calgary
June 21: National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada
In recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day, and in alignment with the CBE Education Plan, Bridlewood School acknowledges and supports the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s (TRC) Calls to Action. Later this week, staff will gather to define our commitment to action for the 2025-2026 school year. Once solidified into a statement, we will share our commitment with the school community and post it on our public facing website.
You Make a World of Difference! Volunteer Appreciation Tea – Thursday, June 19, 2:00–2:50 PM
An invitation to our Volunteer Appreciation Tea was sent out last week, and we kindly ask that those of you who received the invitation RSVP if you have not already done so.
Whether or not you're able to attend, please know how deeply we appreciate the time, energy, and heart you share with our school community. The success of a great school rests on the collective efforts of many—and our volunteers play an essential role in that success.
Provincial Achievement Tests – Grade 6
Monday through Wednesday, from 9:00-11:00AM our Grade 6 students will be completing Provincial Achievement Tests in English Language Arts and Literature, Mathematics, and Social Studies.
Results from these tests will provide Alberta Education, school administrators, teachers, parents/guardians, students and the public with information about what students know and can do in relation to provincial standards at the end of Grade 6.
Provincial Achievement Tests are based on what students have been learning throughout the school year, so they will be marked by teachers before they are returned to Alberta Education in June.
Celebration Assembly – Grade 6 students and their families
On Friday morning, June 20, our Grade 6 students and their families will join their teachers, educational assistants, and administrators in celebrating their final year in elementary school. The assembly is scheduled for 9:00AM.
The Grade 6 Celebration holds special significance as it marks an important milestone in the student's educational journey. It symbolizes the transition from elementary to junior high school and reinforces a sense of belonging, accomplishment, and optimism as students prepare for the next stage of their learning journey. Once again, thank you to our Bridlewood School Fundraising Society for providing funds to help our student celebrate with a pizza lunch, cookies, and mementos.
Alien In line Skating
This residency wraps up on Wednesday. It has been a joy to watch students persevere, encourage one another, and learn to laugh when things didn’t go quite as planned—all while developing a brand-new skill!
Thank you to the Bridlewood School Fundraising Society for financing this opportunity, and to the many volunteers who supported students during the sessions.
Online K-12 Report Cards Available June 25, 2025
Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students starting Wednesday, June 25 until July 25, 2025 through MyCBE . Within MyCBE, families can also view student information, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades and attendance information.
Report cards summarize and communicate student achievement at a point in time. In addition to the report card, schools communicate with parents/guardians about student progress on an ongoing basis in a variety of ways.

Need Help?
Check out these videos for more information on how to log in and navigate MyCBE, especially if you have more than one child attending a CBE school.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead,
