Hello Bridlewood Parents/Guardians,

Please read on for this week’s updates and information

Monday May 5 – Grade 1 Offsite

Monday May 5 – Friday May 9 Grade 2 (Ms. Tanya) offsite

May 5-9 Mental health week

Wednesday May 7 Hats on! for Mental Health

Every year Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) dedicates a week in May to raise awareness of Mental Health. This year Mental Health Week will run May 5-11, and Hats On! for Mental Health Day will take place on May 7.

Albertans are invited to wear a hat to raise awareness of the importance of good mental health. Bridlewood School encourages students and teachers to build understanding by wearing hats to school. Students will also participate in a coordinated lesson on understanding mental health and the importance of removing the stigma associated with mental illnesses.

Wednesday May 7 Grade 1 Assembly 2:00PM – Please join us as our Grade 1’s lead us in an assembly focused on ideas connected with Hats on for Mental Health.

May is Asian Heritage Month

Asian Heritage Month invites us to celebrate and uplift stories of joy, resilience, and brilliance, while reflecting on how Asian students, staff, and families are seen and supported in our schools and workplaces. This month, and every month, we honour the contributions that strengthen and enrich our learning communities.

Wishing everyone a good week ahead.

Chris, Joanne and the Team at Bridlewood School
