Hello Bridlewood School Families,
We hope this message finds you well, easing into the fall season and getting used to the many routines that become part of family life during the school year. Please take a moment to read this week’s administrator’s updates.
A few words about the importance of regular attendance
Regular attendance at school fosters students’ confidence in themselves as learners and enhances their role as active participants and valuable contributors in the school community. Even in early grades, regular attendance and timely arrival lay the foundation for students’ academic success, positioning them for high school completion and future career opportunities.
Please visit School Culture and Environment on our CBE Webpage to learn more about the positive impact of regular attendance and tips for improving your child’s attendance. Families are also reminded to work with the school staff to find solutions should attendance become a concern.
Student Code of Conduct and Progressive Discipline Policies
At Bridlewood School, students and staff are expected to model and reinforce socially responsible and respectful behaviors’ so that teaching and learning can take place in a safe and caring environment.
Our CBE Student Code of Conduct and CBE Progressive Student Discipline regulation apply to all of our students. They outline the roles and expectations for our students to promote positive and inclusive learning environments, help students to develop empathy and become good citizens both within and outside of the school community, and explain the consequences when a student’s disruptive behaviour negatively affects the learning environment. We highly recommend that families take time to review these documents to better understand expectations, strategies, and approaches.
