Hello Bridlewood School families,
As students and staff continue to settle in and get to know one another through engaging explorations and activities, we look forward to another exciting week ahead at Bridlewood School.
Students and their families are warmly invited to our September Open House. This is a wonderful opportunity to:
- Tour the school and visit classrooms
- Meet teachers and administrators
- Connect with other families who help shape our caring school community
We know students thrive when the adults in their lives take an active role in their learning. Nothing makes them prouder than showing their families their classrooms and introducing them to their teachers. Our teaching team looks forward to building connections and sharing in the joy and energy this special evening brings.
- Date & Time: Join us at your convenience on Thursday September 18 between 6:00 – 7:30 pm
- Sweet Treats: To wrap up your visit, stop by the ICE CREAM TRUCK parked outside the school and enjoy a scrumptious cold treat (priced between $2.50 – $8.00).
A big thank you to the Bridlewood School Fundraising Society for making this extra treat possible!
School Council and Bridlewood School Fundraising Society Meetings (BSFS)
We hope our school families have enjoyed reconnecting with returning students and getting to know those who are new to Bridlewood School. Parents/guardians are invited to attend the Bridlewood School Council and Fundraising Society at the first meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 17th at 6:30pm. Meeting Agendas are on the school website. Please connect through the links below.
Bridlewood School Council: One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council. Under the School Act, a school council is a collective association designed to advise the principal and the CBE Board of Trustees on matters related to the school.
Bridlewood School Fundraising Society: Is a group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. With the support of the school community, we raised over $88,000 from the Casino Fundraiser last year! We welcome all families to attend the council meeting to contribute feedback on how the funds could be applied to enhance student learning and well-being.
Whether you can help weekly, monthly or can spare a few hours throughout the year, your support is appreciated! For more information, please email the School Council at bridlewoodschoolcouncil@gmail.com
Questions and Concerns
Student success depends on a strong partnership between families and the school. If you have a question or concern, you can:
- First, please do not hesitate to speak to your child's teacher. In most cases, a solution can be found at the classroom level.
- If the issue remains unresolved after speaking with the teacher, please contact Chris (Principal) and/or Joanne (Assistant Principal).
Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead,
Chris, Joanne, and the team at Bridlewood School
