Hello Bridlewood School families
Thank you to students, staff, and families for helping us begin the 2025–26 school year with such energy and joy. This week we welcomed over 500 students, each of whom was introduced to our touchstone book, I Am We: A Book of Community by Susan Verde and illustrated by Peter Reynolds.
This beautiful story reminds us of two important truths:
- “I am” – each of us is unique, with our own story to tell.
- “We are” – together, we create something stronger: a community of learners that includes every child and every adult in our school.
To reflect on these ideas, we are exploring the questions: Who am I? and Who are we together? Last week and into the coming week, each student will design a small masterpiece on an upcycled compact disc that shows something of themselves.
These creations are being joined together in our gathering space and something amazing happening....
- One big artwork. One big WE.
- That is our school—many “I ams” becoming “We are.”
Please read on for important information, reminders, and updates

Birthday Celebrations
At Bridlewood School, we celebrate every student’s birthday! The names of students celebrating their birthdays each month are posted on the birthday board in the office. Student birthdays are honored and recognized through the gift of a special birthday pencil.
We respectfully ask that families please do not send birthday treats, including cake, cupcakes, cookies or treat bags, to school.
Any special request for an event involving treats will be communicated and require permissions from families for students to participate.
